Good People,
Confirmation comes from Jesus. He gave it to the first Apostles. He gives it to us today through the Bishop. It is the way we are given the full outporing of the Holy Spirit. The Spirits gifts help us to really know what is good, to want it, and to embrace the good. Then we are happy. God made us for happiness. This is why he gives us such a sacrament.
Through the oil used in this sacrament the reality that we have God's love permiating our being is made fully real. We can see that our loving Father has given us the status of being Priest, Prophet, and King!
God is our loving Father.
Please pray for those preparing for confirmation.
Pray especially for a James who is an adult preparing for all the sacraments of initiation. He is our good catechumen!
